Does anybody know how to copy select number of bookmarks from one pc to another? Both machines are running the latest version of Firefox.

Or you could just use the build in Sync.

Click on Firefox and "Set up Sync" and log in on the second PC. This will sync Bookmarks, history and all

With Firefox you can't backup selected bookmarks without 3d party apps unfortunately. You can do a complete backup, copy the backup file and restore and delete unwanted bookmarks.

I don't want to copy over all the bookmarks, I only want to copy a few(well actually about 30).

My problem with this way is that I will then loose what I currently have, 1 pc is for work use and 1 is for non work use. Which means 95% of the current bookmarks are different, thus the reason for only wanting to copy specific bookmarks. Any more 3rd party app suggestions??

Well if you only want to do it once, export to HTML, edit the HTML file and remove the ones you dont want and on second PC import edited HTML file.

Ctrl-shift-B

Click on "Import and Backup"

Select "Backup"

Choose location

Click "Save"

Copy these folders
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Mozilla

save on a flash drive and then just save in the corresponding folder

when you install firefox and thunderbird for the first time, start it with the -p param, specify where you want your default profile to reside, and put in your docs dir (which should get backed up with everything else).
