Core i3-2100 confusion

I'm somewhat confused.

On Intel's website they state that the i3-2100 is set for release on 20/2/2011, yet at least 3 stores in SA claim to have stock?

I'm genuinely confused, mainly since I really want this processor.

Well see if u can find a mobo for it as intel is recalling all the boards for a fault on the chipset,
