Hi guys

At what temperature should my Intel Core2Duo 3.0GHz (E6850) be reporting?

Currently my CPU idles between 39 to 41 degrees celcius and when playing games is between 44 to 48 degrees cecius.

Is that normal? Should it be running cooler or is that the perfect temp.

Thanks

Howzit man. That sound about right. Do you have the stock cooler on there?
Maybe a google search for appropriate temps?

My E6850 is overclocked @3.9Ghz 1.4Watts

I have a coolermaster zero case and a ZalmanCNPS9700LED.

Idle temp 30 degrees and under load about 44 degrees.

@Wisecrack: Those Zalman CNPS9700LED's look so big that it would a) not fit into my casing and b) snap my motherboard. How heavy is it?

Readup on B stepping and L stepping.

L stepping is cooler and uses less wattage (spelling) but most people all have B stepping which runs hotter and uses more wattage.

Check it out!

TA this P35 boards really overclock well.

I had so many issues with my old 939 system in Vista(BSODS random restarts ect) With this system everything runs 100% stable.

The Zalman cpu cooler really is a piece of work Im loving it.
