I plan on buying a Corolla Cross in the next month or two. Does anyone perhaps have a ballpark figure for what a custom color might cost? I understand that this would of course depend on what type of paint etc. but I just need a ballpark figure.

Toyota wouldn’t do it themselves so it will be an aftermarket job probably in excess of 50k.

Was more costly in market value and depreciation.

The question is why? If you really wanted to a wrap or coating would make more sense.

why?

a proper paint job - probably R50k or more, and then you will have to deal with the VIN/paper work, i.e the car is a certain color and is registered as such.

Agree you should rather just wrap it, but that also has the vin issue. its a bit plank imo

Just have it wrapped

Remember to add the cost of the wrapp to your insurance as a non OEM fitment (extra)

Thanks (almost) everyone for the (mostly) informative replies. The why is literally just because I do not have a particular liking for any of the factory colors that you get to choose from. It sounds like it is way more hassle than it's worth though, so I will stick to the factory colors.

Oh, and I did not know that wrapping was an option, so thanks for the suggestion.
