Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but ok, here goes.

Our company is in the process of expanding and we need to start looking at establishing a relationship with vendor for mobile phones and contracts.

I realize this might be a bad time to look at this, considering that interconnect rates will be changed therefore signing any kind of long term (24 months) contracts now would perhaps not be the best course of action.

Do any of you have any advice or experience with corporate cellphone deals / dealers?

we use MTN SP. we get discounts. thats all i know.

Vodacom Business also offer some discounts. You can contact them on 0821940

We use Vodacom as well for our corp account and the upgrade options are rubbish. The deals we get is worse than those that they offer at the Vodashop's to the general public. As far as I'm concerned, use VC as a last resort cause they don't look after high spending clients.

I think it really depends on your account manager. We got iPhone 3G's for about R200 while people were paying in R2500 in the shops.

This does depend on accounts you have and the deals you negotiate with.

Most of my clients are corps and the deals that they get are worked out just for them. We do not use standard deals that the Vodashops use because discount structures etc are worked into the deal.

The company that I am working for uses Vodacom Business. I dont recommend them! Busy going with MTN.

Had nothing but trouble with them and the account rep certainly does not have my interests at heart - LOL!

Will let you know how it goes - so far so good (MTN)

@ VD. Have spoken to Saint telephonically. Waiting to see what MTN is quoting to see if a match is perhaps possible and have already sent comparison between MTN and Voda packages. Have PM'd cloud also.

Yip - ocleroux contacted me. Blown away at the keen interest at retaining me as a Vodacom client. Many thanks. Finally got a sound explanation/answer to my questions.

If only our companies Vodacom Rep were remotely as helpful, then things would be a lot better. But lets let it rest :)

thanks for the help Ocleroux!

Most welcome. I will feel better once you have been retained :-)

Will wait to hear from you...you have my mail address. Please feel free to use it. Sometimes hectic @ work so my response times will be either lightning fast or delayed....but promise to get back to you as soon as I can.

Drop VC. Had a corporate account with them then they deleted my lines without letting me know. My debit order did not go throught because of a standardbank screw up(moving my account). But the rep claimed she try to contact me and the just deleted al 4 sims because she did not reach me. Cost me a great deal of time and money because of then - the sims was used in remote monitoring devices. Will move all our line over to MTN.

Normally a line or lines will not just be deleted. Once the account goes into arrears then the lines will be soft locked (no outgoing calls allowed but can still receive)....if the account is not settled with the outstanding amount then the lines will be hard locked (no outgoing or incomming)....after that if the account is still not settled then the line or lines will be deleted.
