Corsa 1999 - Crank Sensor Error After New One & Unknown Problem!
Hey everyone. Im about 2 strands of hair away from putting a lit match into my car. Really hoping i can get some decent advice. Corsa 1999 1.4 sedan.
Symptoms:
-Long crank to start
-Low idling until it warms up
-Lack of power (Most of the time, sometimes its fine)
-Will randomly bog down/lose power/stall unless i rev like mad, then it comes back. Like its randomly misfiring. Its very hard to drive like this.
-Getting error code 31 which according to this page is a crank sensor low no rpm signal - http://www.opelclub.rs/forum/showth...ult-code-chart-shows-the-Bosch-Motronic-fault
-Sometimes i cant start in the morning and i have to take out the spark plugs and dry them off, they are also very carbonized.
What i have done:
-ECU (bosch motronic) was checked. Immobilizer/transponder was cleared off the ECU to make sure it wasnt they key that was the problem.
-Changed ALL the sensors, some twice.
-Changed plugs 4 times, changed plug wires twice.
-Changed head gasket and other gaskets in the engine.
-Compression test.
-New battery
-An array of other tests.
-Fuel Pump and line done.
-Electronics have been checked slightly, replaced the crank sensor wire in the harness, but have not pulled the harness out to check all the wiring.
-Injectors have been checked
-Throttle body cleaned/checked.
-Tried a confirmed working Coil pack
-Tried confirmed working fuel relay
-All Fuel, oil and air filter changed
Its with my mechanic (the 3rd one thats checked the car and hasnt been able to come right) and today he is going to check the timing...... This has been going on for a year. When it comes back from him it goes well and then starts the same stuff the next day. He always sprays cleaner into the throttle body and cleans other stuff as well.
Any advice appreciated
