Corsa vs Polo vs Polo tdi

Take the 1.6 Polo, that generation polo is rock solid.

I would take the Corsa, it's the newest with the lowest mileage. Also, all engines get warm when driving, especially when doing some spirited driving. It could've been a hot day and the engine and cooling system worked harder than usual, it shouldn't be a concern when the engine is slightly hot and the temperature stayed within the normal operating limits

You could give some suggestions

Please give me some alternatives
Depends on what you want. A hatch for about R100k?

This will save you some money and it is a better car. You are picking cars at a very inconvenient timeframe 7-8 years old. For there it will depreciate heavily if it goes over 10 years. Either get something that's 2 years old or get a decent old cheapy not something in the middle of nothing.

If you really want a corsa. This is basically just as good and R60k cheaper.

Did you guys just bash a VW for a Honda?
Almost anything is better than a polo. I have no idea why people are so boring with their choices in cars. Why be just like everybody else? The polo is the most boring car out there.

I think there is a damn good reason why Polo is popular. I have owned one and I can assure you those things are a dream for a cheapie. I have never owned a Honda, but it wasnt anything I ever considered. A kia rio yes, noy honda

What makes a car boring? Many people owning it? It's odd that people say that. Let others buy want they want. Unless it's an opel or a frenchie, then by all means please interfere.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a Polo besides the obvious theft\hijacking risk. A Honda is a very good brand that Honda SA has let down and continue doing so by not bringing good cars that will compete with the Polos of this world.

It isn't a cheapie. They are way overpriced.
Why not keep your existing polo? It still looks the same as the new ones.

Obviously people can buy what they want. Everyone is free to make stupid life choices, I just feel I'm doing my civil duty and spreading education.

I don’t have a Polo right now. I think they are well priced for what they provide, reliability and a quality drive

Can't fathom why not. It's within your stated price range, mileage and model year, it is in my opinion, a safer car with more luggage space and arguably better specs than a comfort line.

But hey, at the end of the day it's your choice and if you want to make it a bad one, then nothing we can do about it. Most everyone here has discouraged you from buying the Polo, but if you've already made up your mind, then good luck and many safe and happy miles for you.
