COSATU condemns e-toll bill

My prediction is that Cosatu are going to use e-tolling for political gain. That is all. They will inevitably concede, after a considerable fight. Both the ANC and Cosatu will end up winners. The public will not...

What do you guys think happened here? People rocked up for the protest and Vavi was like "Surprise...down with labour brokers"???
Nothing was hijacked, they made their intentions known.

Well, the DA's also jumping on that band wagon, so you can't hold it against them. They're just doing what politicians do.
Their protests have been mediocre though, and if the trend continues they will eventually have to concede.

I honestly believe that unions are not political parties. That's just me...

I see all my protagonists are all here :)

eTolling MUST and will go ahead because it is part and parcel of a much bigger project.

SO you can ALL put on your tin hats or aluminum foil or whatever and put me on your ignore list
I do not really care as I know that history will show I am correct.

Here are some pointers


  • Have you noticed that many national roads now have CCTV cameras -- on the alternative routes as well ?

    Have you noticed the number of CCTV systems erected in cities and towns ?

    Have you had a look at the new NATIS smart card system ? ( which you will need to have if you want to vote in 2014 )

    Have you had a look at RICA , FICA , NATIS , AFIS , HANIS ? ( and how the banks and other PRIVATE commercial entities pander to this legislation )

    Have you had a look at new intrusive and secrecy legislation in the process of promulgation or already enacted ?

    Have you had a look at the new -- register your new born child program ?

    Have you had a look at the new teacher biometric system ?

I could go on but some of you would still not get IT ! ( and by then it will probabaly be to late )

SO -- WHO is willing to take odds that eTolling WILL go ahead -- and -- a lot of other stuff after that.
 
It WILL go ahead, that much is clear. But the question is only how long it will take to fall over, i give it a year

They must hurry up and start tolling. I'm tired of waiting.
The sooner it starts, the sooner it fails.
