Counter Strike = Boring ?

CS is for wannabes. Load up ARMA

ArmA is nice, but it's something you have to set out quite a bit of time to play. I tend to play those type of games when I set out a night specifically for doing so.

Games like CS work better for me when I've got a few minutes to play here and there.

I don't play games much, but when I do it is not to be an adult, so I actually want to be excited like a 5 year old. I have no desire to learn from anyone, this ain't school, I want to play a game and have fun.

Perhaps CS is too grown up for my desires, then again, grown ups playing computer games :erm: ? How mature is that?

How do you find UT more fun, there haven't been active UT servers in SA for like 8 years?

I think its also about the whole "mindless fragging" vs strategy. CS was awesome because of the types of strategies you could work on.

And for that reason, I vote Team Fortress 2.

Meh, more trolling from Rouxenator.
You can see it that way if you like, I still think CS is boring especially in a LAN environment. If you want skill then play some MOHAA, its got objectives if you like and at least you can respawn.

Just don't suck at the game and it will be fun. Obviously if you're always the first to die then you will have to sit back and watch. When you're that last team mate with an Ak and a smoke, having to clutch 4 : 1 is not a boring experience.

The better you are, the longer you last (jokes aside please) and the more fun you have. Find mates and play Competitive, it will put you against others with similar skill levels and you can start getting better at the game. Heck, join ESEA even.

At the end of the day it comes down to each individual. I don't like games like DOTA or LoL, not because I suck, but because I prefer the thrill of a slow paced, suspenseful FPS like CS.

Spent hours playing CS 1.6, lots of tactics and teamwork involved...

Giving away my age much haha... so no I do not think CS is boring at all loved it !

Well I am amazed that you find waiting a minute to be such an ordeal. How do you mange to read anything longer than say half a page if you crave instant gratification like that?

I have played it on a few occasions and I might add that I do not suck that much, especially not when compared to some of the other guys. Yes there is the odd game where you get stuffed at the start of the round and then it sucks a bit, but in general it has the potential to be a good game. I just have this problem with waiting and watching, that is not playing its wasting time.

Porchrat, I hate reading, if a story is good it will make it to a movie - then I can look at the poster and get the entire story in a second. Watching a movie is too tedious.

I find sarcasm hard to spot in text form. I hope you are using it now. I can get lost in a book for hours quite easily.
