Hi guys,

Where can I buy an original Counterstrike from? (incl. CD Key to play online).

You can only buy it online nowadays. Maybe you will find a second-hand one if you're lucky.

Bear in mind that this game attracts some very odd people and is poorly 'policed' online. Expect swearing, cheating, fighting and anything else you might find in the playground.
 
Surprisingly you might it in the bargain bins at CNA, Game, Makro, etc....
 
ye, i play CSS online, buy it from steam at R150 ish, you must first download steam,buy the game,download the game and play. Sackboy, the admins are very strict dude.
 
i used to play quite a bit back in 2001, when the good old HzO, GoW guys were still around... doubt they still online, but loved the game.

I know it's old, last version i played was 1.3.....
They probably on versions 250 now ;) hehe

Ok, will rather go the steam way and purchase online
 
I would get CSS, I don't think oaks still play CS, I bought it off steam and battled to find people on the servers.
 
Try Left 4 dead, it will leave to with sleepless nights, and a bonus for that game to get 4 bots to kill zombies with you ,
 
L4D is awesome. But i would personally wait for L4D2 coming out in november apparently. But if you cant wait then buy it, you wont regret it.. /me runs off to destroy hordes of zombies
 
what about these mweb servers
eg. karoo.mweb.co.za

When I check what the status is of the saix/mweb servers its usually quite full
 
steam shop is the only place i've seen lately that u can get it. cs 1.6 is only used for clan matches and pick ups afaik.

oh my gosh, what if mummy and daddy find out about those bad people? I can't believe they let people swear online.

Just a guess, but judging from your post, you play CSS?

Totally different game these days.

I also used to play the game in those days when the 4 big teams (or clans) were NDC, HzO,TFC and xTc. I stopped playing though when CSS came out and a lot of kiddies started playing the game. Tried playing the game again a few months ago and these days its very different.

There are a bunch of things that have changed in the game but the worst thing of them all is the atmosphere when trying to play online.
 
Call of Duty 4 is also tons of Fun. If you enjoy CS, you definitely love Call of Duty 4 Pro-mod. Its very similar
