You do know that Godwins law is a stupid internet "rule" and whataboutism is a genuine logical fallacy right? While the name "whataboutism" is quite internety the reasoning behind it is not.

Whataboutism was literally created as term by the US to minimise Communist Russia pointing out lesser unimportant hypocrisy. :ROFL:

I watched the video, don't worry.

Tucker's "argument" is a washed-out appeal against the right of resistance. Just like R13 has pointed out, right-leaning media and personalities like Tucker want their audience to "understand" what these people are trying to do, instead of honestly painting this as an attack on democracy.

"Think about why this young woman was there in the first place" instead of saying that she, along with at least a hundred other people, broke into the Capitol to subvert democracy and make an attempt to keep their dear leader in power.

One is a protest-turned-riot against systemic and systematic racism and oppression, which continues unabated.

The other is the subversion of democracy and democratic rule, and would not be taking place if Trump had won the election.

To be honest here, I think that this was a natural evolution, the left were burning cities not too long ago, with very little consequence to their actions, I think the political landscape in the US has just reached a boiling point where people feel that the only way they are heard is to set things on fire, sad state of affairs, but something that we deal with in our country all the time, we will spend many pages of this forum pointing fingers at politicians inciting violence but the truth here I think is that this stems from a failure of everyone to take their voters seriously.

People on the left and right feel that their values are not being upheld and their leaders are only fanning the flames between them.
