Coup/protest in the US

It's not so much the cartoon being hilarious as the reaction that it has succeeded in raising in certain quarters... like the corner you are currently in.
Awesome. Me not thinking a cartoon is funny is the reaction Zapiro wanted. Good to know.

Me not thinking a cartoon is funny is a success

Capitalism means you have private property (you can own things) and you can then sell it.
Work with me here, rietrot.

Capitalism means you have private property (you can own things) and you can then sell it. Capitalism means you can choose what you sell, no one forces you to sell at a specific price or to a specific person. Capitalism means you can choose who you want to do business with. Capitalism gives you the freedom to market your product as you wish.

Agreed?

Your salty tears, my dear wbot, are what is so succesful about this little diversion.

You could have simply ignored the cartoon, but here you are, showing exactly how butt-hurt it has made you, all the while denying that you are butt-hurt.

Awesome. All this because i simply said I don't find a cartoon funny.

For some reason that's somehow a successful result.

Holy ****   Show me my butt hurt please? The cartoon didn't offend me. I said it's not funny.

I'm here responding to you lot who can't stop quoting me, not because I'm butt hurt

Can't believe it's so hard to understand and such an issue
It is, apparently, hard to understand. But my dear wbot, the reason it is "such an issue" is because you are making it one.

How the hell am I making it one when you're the ones quoting me? All I'm doing is responding to you guys my dear scudsucker.

I have hurt feelings, tears, more tears and even some salty tears and a hurt butt all because I said I don't find a cartoon funny.

@wbot is right. Zapiro's cartoon on the Capitol events was neither funny nor anywhere near his usual class. I love most Zapiro cartoons, but even he does not hit the nail on the head every single time.

I actually think they are gonna split now, maybe the democrats as well..... I forsee a "period of mad emperors" within a few decades.

During Rome's decline it not only had bread and circuses it had constant rioting and burning of state buildings.
For the Emperor to come the Republic needs to die.

In recent time Julius Caesar went from being a celebrated hero to the Boogieman that killed the Republic and the comparisons to Caesar and Trump kept on popping up during the last 5 years.

The story about the fall of the Roman Republic and modern USA eerily similar though and it turns out Trump was no Caesar

It is not the cartoon that is funny, though.

Political cartoons are not meant primarily to be funny, they are meant to provoke a reaction. Possibly not that reaction, but anyway...

The question left becomes: who will be the first ceaser?

Trump is a loudmouth but he is no dynamic war leader. Julias Ceasar only could have ceased power from a completely rotten senate. For enough of the murican military to support any one man all you need is a rotten enough equivalent.... which we will see within a decade. This election I believe was the final tipping point to the inevitable.

Either the communists win or a second civil war breaks out, they have become too bold and too reckless in grabbing too much..... a reaction of some kind seems to be be brewing with even half the left switching to republican lite because mainstream left has become completely ideologically possessed.
