Couple Guilty Of Plotting Major Terror Attack

I was wondering about that one. How many people would carry out an attack in a foreign land and shout "for Syria?" Assad's Syria? Don't they normally do it for ISIS/ISIL?

You get criminals and other shty people who "convert" to islam. Islam has encouraged this by targeting that demographic.
Islam is viewed as a violent rejection of the west more than anything else, and these people want to reject the west. They like Islam, because they see Islam as violent, and that's what they are. They will use something like "Syria" as a false justification for things they already wanted to do.

I suspect the guy with the knife is one of these. I don't think he gives a fk about Syria, he just needed an excuse.
I could be wrong.

I can't believe a real terrorist would be so dum,it honestly makes no sense, they usually go about very underground and silent about such things.

To post your intentions on social media in this day and age?:wtf:

People do that all the time, actually. Can't seem to help themselves. I'm sure there are psychologists who would say that deep down they wanted to get caught and be the centre of attention more than anything else.

Same thing happened with quite a few people who wanted to shoot up schools. They get hold of a gun and ammo. They build pipe bombs. They have ample opportunity to carry out an attack, but instead they continue to post online about what they are going to do. It gets investigated, and they get arrested.

Then again, sometimes they get away with posting online like that and they do manage to carry out attacks and those posts are discovered later. I guess it's just part of the "escalation" phase of some of these people.

its on twitter... how in heavens name could no-one pick this up? They can "find" WMD but not a twitter account with that name? I really think they should let the TAX agencies handle operations.. as they are THE single most efficient tracing agency of ANY country...

Hell.. even ol' Binnie filed his taxes regularly...

He is more trying to justify GCHQ snooping on everyones internet IMHO.

Something's fishy about the "terror" in London, some random attempting to wage holy war with a pocket knife on a tube station shouting it is for Syria and now this; total idiots publishing their intentions to the world.

Honestly it sounds like Cameron is fear mongering, only he doesn't have the stomach to plan and execute a proper false flag event so is resorting to this BS to try and convince his slaves (or "citizens") bombing a country that EVERYONE ELSE is already bombing is somehow a good or even marginally productive idea ...

Cameron? He isn't mentioned in the article at all.
He doesn't have to justify it, reality does that for him.
Facts are a great way of justifying common sense.

Every few weeks there's a little non story like this tucked away behind the other news. They catch them before they do something, so usually nobody cares because nobody died. I am surprised to see this posted here.

I fail to see how creating an electronic Stasi is "common sense".
