Hi

How much should it roughly cost to ship a complete pc, unassembled and WITHOUT a monitor, when buying online.

eg A standard atx chassis, psu, mb, cpu, ram, hdd, keyboard & mouse, all in original packaging.

Id like to find out if it is worthwhile to have someone collect the order, and ship it with another cheaper courier.

Thanks

To save cash and if u willing to pick up ur package straight from the airport, I would go thru SAA Cargo. The person drops off the pc at the SAA cargo branch (at the airport) and you pick it up at the receiving airport branch of SAA Cargo.
You will pay approximately R150 or so...

They wanna charge me 350 from jhb to dbn, i guess it is only about 3% of the total amount of the pc, and if the equipment breaks, im not liable, but i think i am being ripped off a little bit..

Ive bought a few complete PC's for our office from online stores, and havent paid R350.

My last order cost R125.00 with insurance for a PC case/Keyboard/Mouse and a 19" LCD from JHB to durban, and took 2 days to arrive.

R350 sounds a little steep, we charge around R150 to ship a PC to Cape Town - although we do subsidise the costs....

Pay the R350 and get it done with, it probably includes insurance. packaging etc.
