Coverage! Neotel does it again!

Well from excellent coverage with excellent speeds to needing an antenna! it makes no sense , i really dont get how that happens , 3-4 bar signal to 1-2 bar signal , this is crap! they said i should buy a antenna to optimize...blah blah thats nonsense when i signed the contract i had excellent coverage , i pay R1000pm and im not going to pay another R590+shipping and installation , its there fault , they should be the people paying for it not me:mad:
 
I would cancel if I were you. It's what we're doing.

We're asking for all our money back for the router but we'll pay for the data we used, ie. not for the balance of data owed to us that we could not use because the speeds are so ****ty.
 
I have had a Trouble Ticket open for more than two weeks todo with No coverage that was once Excellent and lack of signal. I telephoned for the 4th time in a span of 3 weeks this morning (after last conversation I was promised within 72 Hours problem would be sorted, but yet not even received a phone call from any Neotel staff) and was told that I would now have a "senior technician" contact me next Friday !!!!
Fantastic customer service I must say, especially seen as next month would be 1 year I have been with Neotel.

At the end of the day I feel like such a schmuck for turning family and friends over to Neotel as now due to Neotel's poor service it has actually affected my relations with people that I wowed over to Neotel.

After indicating I wish to cancel I was told that I would have to pay for the Device.
What to do what to do ?
 
its only something like R80 per month for the remaining months or something... its really not much - cancel and pay the small amount off
 
as soon as another provider can give me uncapped for R1000 i will switch but right now that really aint an option , i download alot so with adsl its going to cost alot , when i had adsl my ISP bill alone went to over R3000 in a month , thats why i chose neotel!
 
I am getting a feeling of Deja Vu here. Neotel = iBurst?
 
Neotel can NOT make you buy an antenna, Neotel must buy one and have it installed for you at no cost to yourself, that is what they did for me, they must do it for you!

thanks for the info :) , can you recommend someone to talk to? the support desk is rude , they were giving me a whole lot of attitude and when i asked for their name they cut the call:mad:
 
Call the support desk, and demand to speak to supervisor!

Call 011 585 0000 and DEMAND to speak to the Complaints, Retentions & F.S.E. Manager who is Albert Goosen.

Those people who signed contracts and were in coverage, and now suddenly aren't, you especially have legs to stand on.

You people must stop speaking to these damn tech support people, they are all bloody idiots.

It's pointless if you people just cancel and run, instead, stay and fight!

Do what the other guy did, contact big web sites, like ITWEB, get them to post articles about Neotel.

Yip I had the same done to me. From excellent to zero coverage.

I put up a big fuss - have a thread here somewhere. My coverage was restored, plus I have a free antenna arriving this Friday. I will also get a refund for my downtime.
