Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4400 (2M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Intel® Pentium® Processor E5200 (2M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

i currently have the first CPU in my PC at work and also have the 2nd CPU lying around i could switch it around for.

which is better ? i dont mind about the mission of changing it :) simply which is best.

thanks.

PS: reasons why would be a big help!

I have benchmarked both those cpu's - E5200 is about 40% faster. I used to have both, still using E5200...

In normal, everyday use, E5200 'feels' about 25% faster.

E5200 also uses a bit less power & runs a little cooler than E4400.

thanks very much :) i sit around at work doing nothing all day, dont see why i should not be constructive and change my CPU :) thanks very much!

Please note that some older motherboards may NOT support the newer E5200 cpu & you may have to update the BIOS. Check the manufacturer's website for a list of supported cpu's and/or BIOS updates. Best of luck.
