CPU Choices??

I currently have 2 pc's. The one is a gaming rig with a Q9550 Quad Core 2.83Ghz cpu and the other pc has an E7400 C2D 2.8Ghz which is for Media,Storage,Internet,CS4 and other apps.
A friend wants to trade my Quad Core Q9550 for his Q9300 2.5Ghz PLUS a Q8200 2.33Ghz Quad core cpu's.
Is it worth my while? Thanks.

I have 2 X 8800GT XFX in SLI mode in gaming rig..

I would take it. .33/.43ghz is not a huge loss, but there should be huge increase in performance in the non-gaming machine (assuming you need four cores). I recently tested an old 6320 versus a 6550 using a 8800GTX and there was NO difference in gameplay, and a 1% difference in 3DMark score....

Do the Quad and C2D have the same number of pin's? Make sure you don't have to buy a new mobo! I'm not familiar with those particular CPU's, so just something to keep in mind.
