hi there. I am using a nokia 35 00 c. The screen got slightly cracked last night and have no idea how. Would that stop the phone from working all together??:

If the corner of the screen that usually shows the charge icon is broken, then obviously you will not see it charging!

If you charge the battery at least enough that it turns your phone on (use someone else's phone and charger if needs be) let the phone rest for a few moments until it goes into standby (i.e. the screen & keypad lights go out) and then carefully insert your charger. You should see the screen light up and on most Nokia's the keypad lights up also (provided you are not one of people who have every sound muted) you will here a soft charge confirmation beep!

The LCD for the 3500 is around R200 trade and shouldn't cost more than R300 fitted!

Cracked screens are a ball ache... went through it personally ... but yes the phone should still function normally, though your view of the screen will obviously be hampered now ... JimM is rite bout the price ... get it repaired... or if you confident enough to do it on ur own (not recommended unless u really know wot u doin) .... btw crack screen is not covered under 2 year warranty .. i tried and Nokia said it does not cover impact damage .... cheapos...

it refuses to switch on even after leaving the charger in for over 3 hours so think i will sedn it in.... I will try again later though just in case thanks for your help
