Crazy Samsung Tab deal

MTN 2GB x 24 months Samsung Tab 10.1 (P7500) = R399
Vodacom 2GB x 24 months Samsung Tab 10.1 (P7500) = R639

How in the world does Vodacom justify this price while MTN can save you R240 pm? Would love to get it from Voda, but the price is a killer! :sick:
 
Cos vodacom is increasing the price of their data bundles. While everyone else is decreasing theirs :)
 
u sure mtn bundle it with 2GB pm? Also, don't you guys think 2GB is a bit too much for a tablet? I would think 1GB would be plenty exclusively for the tablet...

You can always set it up as a wifi hotspot and share it with other devices...

One can never have to much data. Especially on a 3G connection. If you think about it, you could finish 2GBs EASILY in one day :)

In the US most carriers give 3 to 5GB of usage with their smartphones. Hope somday MTN would be kind enough :(

Yes, got mine with 2gb data for R399...sad thing is from Vodacom with 1gb data its R539...The tab is R290pm (incl the cool pocket case), which means you get 2gb for R110...which is unheard of in mobile data
 
All MTN shops in Bloem are sold out, getting stock this afternoon....they cant keep up with the demand. Its a brilliant deal in my opinion.

@N95NINJA - how you finding the Tab so far?
 
I'm loving it...if it doesnt suffer the dreaded newton rings its going to my new sidekick...it caters to all my needs...just need to do some research on what apps to get etc...the only downside I see is the 5hrs it takes to completely recharge the tab

My 10.1 has been put one side, just waiting for the paper work to be processed. Thanks Jannie for pointing out this great deal.
 
it's reasons like these that i've decided to leave vodacon after being with them for, let's see, my whole life! goodbye and good riddance. okay not quite yet, have to wait until december for my contract to end :D

how's that possible? does it charge via usb or something? my xoom and my swambo's 10.1v charge in no time, less than an hour from fully depleted.

Charges through 30pin to usb wall charger...guess its due to the slim battery required to fit or something? Thats maybe the reason why the Xoom cant charge through usb and rather uses the laptop like charger
 
What do/would you guys use a tab for? I really want one after having a galaxy s2 for 6weeks.. but I'm not quite sure I'd make good use of a tab.
