If you can get Internet connection sharing working on the PC with the 3G card and it's also on your wifi network then you should be able to use it. An easier solution is however something like the B970 router (3G, Wifi AP all in one).

something like that - i want to use my 3g internet access on my pc to be shared with my ps3 via the netgear wireless router.

i've got the ps3 to see the router. keep getting a DNS error.

Disable the DHCP service on your router, give it a static IP address in the 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254 range (write this on a label and stick it on the router), enable Internet Connection Sharing for your 3G dial-up connection on your Windows box (it will become 192.168.0.1 and enable DHCP), reboot your PS3 and you should be done.
