I've recently switched hosting providers to Hetzner.
I now need to add a subdomain - anyone know how?

Using the KonsoleH Control Panel.

Hey carudden

1) Your domain needs to be already registered to create a sub-domain.
2) Log into konsoleH and choose New Order.
3) Select the type of hosting you would like for the sub domain (for example Micro package).
4) It will ask you about your domain registration details. At this point supply your domain in the form of subdomain.example.co.za - the .co.za part (called the TLD) must be selected from the drop down list and enter subdomain.example in the text box.
5) Very important: on this page you should select the "I will transfer my registered domain name." option.
6) Continue with the ordering process...

It will setup it's own sub-domain account with it's own FTP access.

For further support you can contact Hetzner Support at [email protected] or call 0861-0861-08.

I'm simply looking for a subdomain.mydomain.co.za type setup, pointing to the same account, is there no way to configure a new subdomain, without a new hosting package?

I think it's called Hetzner calls it Multiple domains. That will setup subdomain.example.co.za to go to example.co.za/subdomain - therefore still using the main account.
