Creating wireless network with 2 x usb dongles

Morning all...

Not to sound confusing.But I bought 2x TP Link USB Network dongles...one for my son's PC and o e for my daughter's PC..

Now my question is...can the dongles connect to one another so they can perhaps "LAN" wireless?... cause their rooms are far apart.

I know getting a cable and connecting it directly to the 2 PC's would solve my problem..

Also they have no internet access so it will be Offline LAN...

Out of interest, do you have a router? You can isolate the traffic between those two hosts, in fact the possibilities are endless, the moment you introduce a router into the mix.
 
I have not done this, but a virtual router could work. This is instructions for W10:


That website is a bit advertorial spammy for my liking, but the software is apparently free
