Cricket: International Discussion Thread

India has done well to this point but they will need to negotiate the first 10 or so overs of the new ball. They get past that and they should be on their way to saving this match.

6 down (with the old ball nogal). Now I reckon they'll take the new ball with an end being opened up.

8 down... who would have thunk this when Rahul and Pant were in command.

Curran to Sharma, OUT, Given caught at the wicket but Ishant has reviewed it immediately. Again that swinging ball that nips away after pitching. Too much for the tailender. On a length, just outside off, Ishant covers the swing, but the ball leaves him and takes a thin outside edge, UltraEdge confirms. The first replay was not conclusive, but technology leaves no doubt. Dharmasena has eked out another unsuccessful review
I Sharma c †Bairstow b Curran 5 (24b 1x4 0x6) SR: 20.83

Appalling review. Dharmasena does not get many wrong.

Jadeja at the crease now will be the difference between holding out for the draw and a win.

He's gone! Curran almost had him in the previous over with the inside edge. Got him with a beauty now.

Very sporting by the Indian players. Spare a thought for them. They almost made the draw. Kudos to them for making this a great scrap. Cook goes out on an amazing high. Jimmy now leads the seamers.

KG can .... pity we don't play enough test cricket. :crying:

Very true, however how many more wickets would jimmy have under his belt if he could bowl in once off tests against Zimbabwe like we do.

In the last 2 years , we only played Zimbabwe once. Most of the time we only get 3 games against most countries.

Missed Richard Hadlee in his prime...was before my time. He must have been amazing to watch.
