West Indies v England in the Second Test

Day 1: West Indies won the toss and elected to field

England 111/6

Feet down!!! :p

Ali is being allowed to play to his strengths. Discipline required by WI.

50 up for Ali. His strike rate is very healthy too.

Sheesh, kinda good news for us that both England and India are showing some shoking form right now. Gives us a much bigger chance for the WC!

I wouldn't read too much into India's performance. They've just wiped the floor with New Zealand and it was a rejigged side (with no Kohli or Dhoni) that lost yesterday's 4th ODI. They are still comfortable favourites (in my eyes anyway) to win the WC.

You are underrating the England odi side. They have been as good or better then India for the last 2 years. If they get the flat odi pitches they want for the world cup they will be very dangerous with their ability to bat to nr 10. India relies heavely on their top 3.

England and India are the clear favorites. After them we get the under performers and mercurial group of NZ,SA,Aus and Pakistan. Rest will be making up the numbers.

Anyone know why the English and the Windies players are wearing black armbands?

West Indies have all but got the English capitulation. 1 wicket to get. England's lead is 8.

Shoes the difference between ODI and Test cricket.

This same core of players is awesome in ODI cricket, but in test cricket, the bits and pieces players don't help much.

The Ashes will be fun for the aussies.

Yeah...when Hales and Roy come back into the openers slots for the one day team, this side will look very different. That opening partnership is one of the best around in limited overs cricket.
