On a similar note I remember Aus rugby team back in their heydey scheduled to play against Scotland. During practice the field was marked to the full width the pitch speed allowed. When they arrived on matchday it had been remarked to the minimum allowable width. The Australians were furious, but Scotland had come up with a clever way to restrict their expansive game.

I'm not saying I condone it, I'm saying they're within their rights to do so. Every country tailors pitches to suit their team, this is just taking it to the next step.

It's tough but not a sandpit. No difference to a green pitch in England on day 1 except I guess batting won't get easier on here.

The better Australia do, the better for us. Aus victory is best, but if I recall correctly a 2-2 draw can also work for us.

177 all out. I didn't see a lot of the innings but from what I saw, it didn't look like a 177 all out pitch. The ball wasn't turning square and no vicious bounce. I can't see India capitulating like this. Will see though. Can never discount the GOAT.
