True, Theres alot of indians that would love to play for SA and they definatley good enough, I think the selection process isnt up to scratch and they often get neglected.

Crickets in our blood, we all love the game and all can play it!
Just something not right with no indians in SA playing international cricket.

Exactly. We could have 200 000 Indians playing cricket and 11 white guys or black guys or coloured guys or whatever who were better than them. The 11 who are the best should still be picked, no matter what.

Would you choose Jaques Kallis?

Now all of u who dont know cricket.. AB is one of our most classy players ever. And yes he can make some impulsive decisions - same as Gibbs. But he is young and to drop him will be F*****G mad.!!!!###!!!


Another example - Steve Waugh (Australia):

He had a patch where he made 14 consecutive single figure scores. But the cricket knowers knew that he will feature again. Same with Smith who are back on form and now suddenly all the idiots who criticized him disappeared.
 
as I said, if you can not see AB's value in the team, you should switch on your TV and start watching the cricket.

Smith will still play across the line and get caught in the slips, even in the World Cup.
 
If you watch Cricket you would have noticed that Smith plays 80% more in the V-Channel. They worked hard on his technique - but in any case if you go and look how many runs he scored playin across the line, I wouldnt care less if he gets out playin across the line after a quick 40/50/60/70 with a strike rate of 90+

Hes scored alot I know, but now all the opening top class bowlers know how to get him out, and on the Carribean pitch with good bowlers and a new ball, he wont cope!

+ the added pressure of the world cup.
 
OK firstly Smith is not some1 failing under pressure - that is when he performs best. Secondly do u want to drop our captain? do u want to drop some1 with a ODI average of 40? Who do u want to play in his place?
 
Smith scored 3 fifties in his last 4 innings.

Every batsmen in the world goes out to good bowling.

Not sure if you think Smith is the best batsmen in the world and thinks he should get 200 every time he walks out, but he is not that.

Please explain where your inner hatred for Smith comes from?

Not drop him from the side, atleast relieve him from his captaincy so he can work on his batting!

Yeah I agree. His stats this tour very bad. drop him. take his captaincy. drop AB. I mean what are they doing in the team. Why keep the 2 openers when they win a game smashing boundaries left and right with unbeaten scores.

Smith plays across the line hitting a six - sigh drop him why would we want him to do that... lets work on his technique.

He was slogging and he had licence to with the target they were chasing.
 
Well Smith's strike rate is always above 80. Does that mean he always has a license?
 
enuf said about who should be in the squad and who should not! This thread was started to enlighten cricket noobs like me :)

Another question: Why do teams wear their international colors/gear during ODI and "all white" during test matches? Any specific reason?
