Cricket: The Women's Cricket Thread

From Supersport.com

Momentum Proteas batter, Mignon du Preez has announced her retirement from One-Day International as well as test cricket with immediate effect.

Following the recently concluded 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, the former South African captain has confirmed she is calling it a day in 50-over cricket and the longer format of the game in favour of concentrating on T20 cricket and spending more time with family.

Thank you Mignon and all the best!

Sune Luus, Laura Wolvaardt and Ayabonga Khaka playing in today's "My11Circle T20 Woman's Challenge"

Deandra Dottin also playing. Nice line up of ladies for this mini tournament.

I can only shake my head when Khaka bowls that **** a meter outside leg and the batter hits it straight to short fine leg. I'll just stand there and let her bowl wide after wide after wide.....

T20 loss for the ladies, falling 10 runs short in their chase of Ireland's 143. Disappointing since they pulled it back with the ball after Ireland were threatening to cut loose.

Ladies are ALL OVER Ireland in the first ODI. Ireland 52/7 after 23 overs.

SA Woman currently on 136/2 after 28 overs, batting first in the 3rd ODI vs Ireland

Good challenge for them. They've chased in the first two so now they can set and see how they go. Give their batters some much needed time in the middle.

278/5 in their allotted 50 overs. Should be a tall order for Ireland as so far, they've shown little to nothing with the bat. I expect a comprehensive win for the ladies and a sweep of the series.
