Cricket world cup discussion thread

you know there's a problem when kallis has a better strike rate than you

dam**ed if he does dam**ed if he doesn't

Not really damned just pointing out when he starts fast he doesn't last long, kallis has changed in the last year or so. I think what changed him was that indian guy who said he batted too slow for t20 cricket. Cannot recall his name.

Kallis though will get a big score and we will win easily so go kallis!!!!

Some sheep-shagger on cricinfo claiming Watson is a better all-rounder than Kallis

I agree with him, in odi games. Not in test games.

Cool, so Watson has 10000 runs and 250 wickets then?

Kallis may bat a bit slower at times, but he holds the innings together. When Watson can stay fit enough to perform at his current level consistently, then we can start comparing them.

Kallis' bowling went down hill a while ago. Shane still has to reach that phase. Who would be the best all-rounder if you compare Kallis at the same stage of his career?

It's not gone downhill, he's just not used as much as a bowler these days. Not really needed to perform as a bowler much anyway because the other guys are doing their part. Look at his bowling today - 3 overs for 6 runs. He was needed to do the job of filling in a few overs and did it perfectly.

Its not like Kallis is a spring chicken.Still a brilliant player!

if we make it through, smith owes us matchwinning performances in the semis and final.
