Hope the powerplay doesn't stop AMLA and AB from getting there tons.

There's a different kind of pressure in the madness of the powerplay overs... especially the batting one.

Congrats to Hash ... nice ton :D

39.4
Mudassar Bukhari to Amla, 1 run, and he gets to eighth one-day hundred with a relaxed dab towards third man. The celebrations begin and end rather quickly. Amla the run machine rolls on ...

Amla ton

Batting powerplay starts... and AB welcomes it in style :D

41.6
Seelaar to Amla, FOUR, Amla's turn. He goes inside out, making room by moving towards leg, and lofts the ball towards the cover boundary
41.5
Seelaar to de Villiers, 1 run, played on the leg side for one
41.4
Seelaar to de Villiers, FOUR, launched towards the cover boundary this time, off the back foot. Top shot.
41.3
Seelaar to de Villiers, SIX, shot! The innings' first six. AB pulls off the bluff. He moves outside leg a little to make room, making Seelar follow him. Seelar fires it down leg side and then AB moves towards off, getting inside the line, and hoists it over the fine leg boundary

First over went well.

AB's average is 46. It is actually amazing if you consider that it was 30 odd some time ago. Did he just start really slow? Cause I don't remember him being bad?

Might have been a slow start, but he's making merry here. Don't wasn't to jinx him, but he could very well be the batsman of the tournament ;)

Amla out

44.5
ten Doeschate to Amla, OUT, caught! Amla makes room to dispatch a length ball through the off side. He was cramped for room and ended up slicing the ball towards point, where the fielder took a simple catch
HM Amla c Loots b ten Doeschate 113 (130b 8x4 0x6) SR: 86.92
