Cricket world cup discussion thread

Thank god Tendu referred it. He is my capt. in my fantasy team

Like I was saying a couple of days ago in this thread - the silence is deafening when India opposition gets their man! Gambhir goes and crickets chirped. The men in the commentary box were by a country mile the loudest source of volume in that moment.

Oh yeah, agreed, it's just such a unique thing. If you're not watching closely you just have to listen for when the deafening silence comes - that's how you know the Pakis have just done something positively noteworthy for themselves.

Cricinfo says Gambhir was beaten in the flight ( against hafeez with the "almost caught and bowled") craig marais on R2000 saying the pitch is holding up :wtf: R2000 commentary is soooo poor

My reason for that will be that the average Indian supporter know their cricket better than any other supporters around the world, they actually watch every single ball...
Maybe thats it?

How could that possibly be the reason? So it has nothing to do with their team losing wickets and going for boundaries?

First of all they have to be aware of whats happening before they can keep quiet, right?
From the games ive been to, nobody really watches the game all the time...

If Tendulkar makes a 100, then India will lose. Seems to be the trend these days.
