Yep, A leopard cannot change his spots, neither can Africa her heritage. Also hundreds of destitute's were REMOVED from Urban areas, relocated to camps like in the old days. Beaches was apparently pristine with little if any "homeless" . So yeah the 40000+ police had the required effect. Where will they be come next week?

I don't understand you. You say something obvious: "Visible policing" which has been known for 1000s of years. Then you say we can't have visible policing we had in hotspots available everywhere in the country because the policemen would be doing "literally nothing all day". The problem is that there is still a massive crime problem in SA and unless we handle that all that good PR will mean squat. Even if cops do nothing all day, they are working by providing "VISIBLE POLICING" - you contradict yourself. Only time will tell.

What the WC has shown is:

The ANC has not destroyed enough free enterprise / independently owned business / tax payer base to run a WC. Good.
Now we need for the ANC to lay off the apartheid blame game and the nationalisation/land reclamation BS.
We need to become a meritocracy.
We need to have more policing in areas where it's needed.
We need open crime stats and more transparency and more national unity.
 
Went to sandton, there were 3 types of people there. Tourist, Cops and myself. The amount of armed police was frightening! Pity it wont last :(
