Wow, that is long overdue! Justice was denied for more than a decade, while this piece of rubbish actually got promoted...

Was going to say...

The wheels of justice must have got a flat tyre on this long journey. At least nobody was called the 'k' word.

For background, Mdluli was part of the law-enforcement wing of the State Capture project.

The decision taken by Mrwebi and Jiba not to prosecute Mdluli is a key focus of the inquiry into their fitness to hold office. Jiba and Mrwebi are on suspension pending the outcome of the inquiry.

On Tuesday, 29 January, Glynnis Breytenbach, a former senior prosecutor under Mzinyathi, testified regarding the circumstances leading to her ousting at the NPA. She said Jiba and Mrwebi had gone to extreme lengths to ensure that the case against Mdluli did not make it to court.

Jacob Zuma may never have become president if it were not for Richard Mdluli. The story of the man who is now finally leaving the formal position of head of the Police Crime Intelligence Unit is intrinsically linked with that of Zuma, and his rise to power.

The charges stemmed from the conviction of Schabir Shaik and Zuma knew a legal reason was needed to drop them. It seems likely that Mdluli provided that reason in the form of what is now called the Zuma Spy Tapes. The recordings revealed that the then former NPA head, Bulelani Ngcuka, and the Scorpions head, Leonard McCarthy, were plotting against Zuma. How those tapes ended up in the hands of Zuma’s attorney, Michael Hulley, has never been explained. Such was the context around Mdluli that he, after all these years, remained a prime suspect.

He said he will appeal so it's not over yet and as mentioned there's always an ambulance...

In the good old days it was the death sentence for kidnapping.

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has confirmed that it will re-enroll fraud charges against former Crime Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli.

It is being reported that the charges relate to the abuse of the Crime Intellegence secret fund, as well as charges withdrawn by former special director of public prosecutions, Lawrence Mrwebi.

It's not yet sure when the charges will be re-enrolled.

The question you need to ask is how these criminals came to head those units and also how it is possible that these criminals managed to turn government into their own mobster gangland?
The ANC is a terrorist organization.

Johannesburg - In his last-ditch effort to convince the judge not to send him to jail, convicted former crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli sought to present to court an expert epidemiologist’s report on Covid-19.

This report was expected to detail the risk level, especially among pensioners like Mdluli and his co-accused and former colleague Mthembeni Mthunzi, of contracting the virus in prison.

I wonder if he has he contacted Zuma's specialist yet - I have heard he will distribute just about any certificate for a symbiotic arrangement.

They must grant his wish and perhaps they can keep him in a solitary with no contact with anyone till covid is over.

Mdluli’s lawyer, Ike Motloung, was due to present the epidemiology report before Judge Mokgoatlheng at the South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg on Monday.

But Motloung informed the court the report was not yet available because he had struggled to find an epidemiologist.

So wait, he killed people but we mustn't send him to prison cos he might get sick?!?!?

GFY very roughly Richard.... In many ways you are lucky the death sentence isn't a viable option in SA because you are a poster child for the type of person who probably deserves such a sentence.

Unfortunately he was never convicted of murder, due to 'lack of evidence' (we all know what that means...)

Yeah I know.... But the idea that he should avoid prison because he might get sick is just a laugh... It's not like a little holiday club, although he prob has all his luxuries waiting for him on the inside, he won't spend a day in genpop.

against 40+ Million Citizens....Sadly...
@Mar Vin is famous for being the most intelligent brainiac in the universe ... so if he says 40+ Million ... then there are so many questions left unanswered.

Was it a subtle prediction about the immediate aftermath of Covid?!
