Crime rate goes ballistic

Well from people I know in Durbs particulaly down the south coast it is horrific. People are being attacked not once but three or four sometimes five times. I can't imagine it could get much worse than what I hear.
 
perhaps i live with my head between the clouds... I have burglar guards, security gate etc... It may not stop anybody from forcing their way in, but I do believe Durban has way less crime than Jhb!

I dunno about CT, but If i ever move, it would definitely be overseas!.
 
Eish, yeah the Point area is still probably the most crime infested place in Durban.

No doubt about that!. They call it Little Nigeria!. We had a nightclub in the area for 7 years near Addington Hospital. We had to close down and move out of the city due to patrons getting held up at gunpoint, mugged etc. Its been about 3 - 5 years since we've closed. Its been suggested that the area is safer than it used to be, but just a drive thru town and into that area gives me the creeps!.

Its something that always amazed me about 330, you'd always find people in dark corners, sitting in there cars wasted out of their minds and the only (violent) crime I ever saw there was one of the carguards smashed his wife over the head with a spirits bottle.
 
You're joking, right? I've seen knife-fights not a block away from 330... not to mention the most violent fights between girls that I ever saw :) Durban girls can be hard as fsck.

Ever been to Zeplins in Pta? It's also in a gnarly part of town, but I've never seen a fight inside or out. Then again, no-one really wants to start a fight around a club where the patrons' jewellery of choice is studs and three-inch roofing nails. :)

How can you vote against the illiterate majority that will forever vote for the ANC NO MATTER WHAT! Look at Zim, they still vote for Mugabe! SA is no different! Ditto! Even You voted ANC, Not?
 
I explained my views on why democracy can't work in African countries. But I wasted my breath and some wise crackball came in and called it something else. I vote, because if I don't my vote theoretically gets distributed by the final result. I will not let 60-70% of my vote go for a bunch of idiotic, cuttthroat, demented mokeys.
 
What worries me is that this thread which evidences out of control crime enjoys less attention than a thread about ANC's sports transformation woes. Priorities, it seems, are completely at sea in this country.
 
Nothing wrong with the country. We need to get the leadership out of the country.

There's no way for the ANC morons to argue with their own beloved government's statistics.
 
Sigh, this is a reality, Syndre. Still, I'd rather say "we need to get the hell away from this government".
