Crimson Desert thread

Another thing I'm confused about is certain enemies drop these floating relic type artifacts. There seems like something needs to be done with them but if I just leave them then I recover them at the camp provisions area. Am I missing something there?
I gave you the wrong answer yesterday but saw a reddit post now asking the same question so remembered.

Is this what you are talking about?

Its Abyss Power Cores. Grab them with Axiom and then press the button (Y on Xbox controller for example) to automatically put it in your Kuku Pot. Its crafting mats.

Do you have a Kuku Pot? Its a chapter 4 quest and can't be missed. Can only store Abyss items in it. Very useful when doing repair puzzles as well. Like when you need to gather 3x pieces to repair a machine you can just go and get them all and then take them out in front of the thing that needs repairing. Without it you'll have to grab it with Axiom and them manually walk back each one.

Kuku Pot is also how you eventually craft the best gear in the game btw.

Okay cheers. Don't have a kuku pot yet AFAIK lol. But yeah, could be that. Some are sort of egg shaped and others look squarer I think. I've had NFI what do do with them so just left them. I get a certain distance away and msgs pop up telling me something but it always happens too fast. Then later at camp the provisions guy has something under 'recover items' or whatever it's called but it cost me 1 silver a time. Then I get them and see nothing in inventory as far as I can tell.

One thing that's not working out well for me is assassinating enemies. Maybe my shoes are too loud or something but I approach from behind and I'll get maybe 1 out of 10. The rest of the time they seem to hear me coming.

Someone else sees you. Seems to be working fine. Make sure your lamp is off else they will see you.

I don't think it will get any sort of discount soon. They know the product they have and what it's worth.

The real issue for me is how regional pricing screwed us. SA Rand pricing is even more expensive than US and EU pricing or is it the weak Rand.

Anyways for now cough hypervisor cough cough.
It totally depends on which regional option developers pick on steam.

Windrose is cheaper on the steam za store then the actual direct currency conversion.

AAA developers don't like using the purchasing power conversion or multivariable conversion. They claim it allows people to region cheat.

Crimson desert seems to have used the direct currency conversion option.

Yeah but it sucks. It now means we are the 6th most expensive region.

Oh I agree. The less said about AAA developers and their pricing policies the better.

I'm 42% in now but way overpowered. Actually had to unequip some Abyss Gears because I kept accidentally killing bounties. Runners are fine but when they are in a group and want to fight I have too much AOE effects.

Got all legendary mounts now. Currently getting contribution to buy the best horse gear.

Will take some pics the long weekend. Wanted to post some the weekend but that was a waste of time because the file sizes were too large. Xbox controller peasant jpegs would have to do.

Massive patch yet again but this time there's an issue with it -

All your legendary mounts will disappear if you install this patch. And that includes your dragon.

Wait for a hotfix.

One issue I've noticed with this latest patch is that I had a camp job going prior to the patch and then when the patch released that job was greyed out because I now need to have an alliance formed with the faction in question. So now I have those characters waiting around back at camp but they're actually locked into the mission they were on and so are now inaccessible for other tasks. I hope the problem will solve itself when I do this. /shrug

Game is an absolute time devourer if you don't rush things.

Sigh.

Do not **** this up now.

Just don't.
