Nah - when _ALL_ they do is moan about their boyfriends to you & go on about how they wish other guys would be like you wakka wakka wakka then it becomes painfully obvious that you're the intellectual whore. Ergo, the guy who supplies them with their emotional/mental fix that their cheating/abusive boyfriends don't supply to them.

That's such a stupid cliche. The only women that is true for are those you'd really rather not be in a relationship with anyway iykwim. The only reason nice guys don't get women is that they're actually too timid to EVER tell their feelings, so the woman is always oblivious of their existence. How do you stop being a nice guy? By telling her you like her. Simple as that.

ok well.... Nice guy is a label you give yourself to justify the fact that you never have a girlfriend while the jerks do. What you fail to recognize is that the jerks have a girlfriend because they actually have the marachas to ask women out in the first place, whereas you snivel and console yourself by telling yourself that you've been classified and shelved by women who just want to be with men who mistreat them.
A woman who actually does want to be mistreated - and they do exist - is not somebody you want to be with anyway, because she is a troubled person.
But if you have not ever told a woman how you feel straightly and frankly then you're just making excuses for yourself with this kind of logic - and devaluing her in the process.
If you stand up for yourself, tell her how you feel, she will automatically see you in a new light because you showed some courage to ask her in the first place. You will automatically re-categorize yourself in her eyes.
A woman who actually does want to be mistreated - and they do exist - is not somebody you want to be with anyway, because she is a troubled person.

I think the whole nice guy thing is a complete myth. Women do want nice guys. And they don't stick men into boxes that they can never get out of. I think all of that is just the nonsense men tell themselves.

once a woman puts you in that friend category, it is for all intents and purposes all over bar the shouting. someguys have the ability to get back from that abyss. but there are very few that do.
