Crowds gather for EFF March

Personally happy to see such discord; hopefully the EFF remains strong to its convictions i.e. No future alliance with the ANC.

Unprecedented for a new party.

what is really unprecedented is the formation of a political party by someone facing charges of fraud, corruption, money-laundering and racketeering as well as facing sequestration due to tax evasion.

here is someone quite vocal when it comes to zuma's nkandla, but apparently silent when his own political party becomes a vehicle as a means to settle his personal debts of over R16m.

EFF won't win. That I can guarantee you.

The EFF dont have to win... they have never followed etiquite in the first place With their incitement of hatred, all it takes is a mob of stupid followers to start the spiral in to ungovernable... the EFF have shown their colours, they are using politics as an excuse to get their way.

That's one way to look at this; another would be that a vote for any opposition is a vote not for the ANC -- I'm holding thumbs for a meaningful ANC loss this term; the ANC will naturally win a majority, I just hope they lose enough to prevent constitutional changes, and even better yet, lose enough to ensure a deadlocked parliament.

In any healthy society you will always have a bunch of radicals (left & right), and a more balanced bunch. Occasionally, during times of strife, the ranks of radicals are temporarily bolstered, but that alone is no absolute indication of pending anarchy.

IMO, the time I'd probably start questioning SA's future is when, amongst this type of discontent, the ANC succeeds to substantially increase it's share of the votes.
