Anyone know where I can get a brand new one? Are they still being sold?

I had a 74cm LG Flatron a few years back. Was a nice TV but that thing was HUGE and weighed like 50KGs.

Glad I sold it when I did. My LCD plays 720p just fine :D

Just get one of those 32" coby TVs from esquire they are about R2200 including .

How is it?
I have one in my bar works well no problems with it and sd content looks fine .
For the price it is a bargain, paid R1799 i think excl.

My futronic 32" is starting to show it's age but it's a great TV. How are the connections for the Colby?

:erm: It's not about cost. I don't want an LCD because SD looks blocky (is the best way I can describe it) on every one I've seen. Been watching on a CRT for the past 8 months and prefer it. Moving out so I need my own.

If you can give me a good reason why, I will tell you where.

What SD are you watching?
The issue is more likely 4:3 stretched to 16:9 than SD

Video Input Coaxial Antenna; HDMI with HDCP (x3); RCA Component Video; RCA Composite Video; S-Video; 15-pin PC VGA and USB that is what my one has i went and had a look.
The TV is HD ready 720P

Hmmm 3 HDMI's is nice, current only has one.

Watch as on our two lcd tv s and it's not blocky sounds like the source isn't right, or as Plasmapot would say get a plasma

A 1024x768 43" plasma would indeed be the best option if wanting flat screen. But that is not the case.

Nothing wrong with CRT, superior picture quality for SD, and LCD and plasma are still playing catchup in terms of colours, blacks, motion, etc.
