Cryptocurrency markets suffer massive drop

I follow one such group as an outsider. It is too hard to speculate on whether they will proceed or not, but they do walk the talk more so than not.

I have noticed that bitcointalk does not entertain pump and dump groups anymore, they have their own channels.

And what about ether? any whispers there? :)

No, but I will say this that Ether needs to be brought down a bit so that competitors are as attractive as ETH. EOS and NEO are on the map, but they linger in the shadow. The NEO (Antshare/ANS) rebrand is happening next week, starting on the 24th iirc.

I find it strange people would openly talk about something like this if they were serous about it.

Ant held (relatively) steady for some reason during the dip, even increased in value a bit at stages where most others dropped significantly.

So are these huge runs and turns botg up and down with bitcoin largely market manipulation?

And if not what is causing them because I would think bitcoin should be more stable than Fiat currencies seeing its not tied to any one country or economy?
Well not being tied to anything is the whole reason it's so unstable. This was one of the warnings for non-fiat currency.
