Cryptocurrency Mining

I've been looking at bitmart website (Bitmain you can only pay with BTC now) and there seem to be a few different miners for sale. Basically my question is what is the best one to go for in the R65k range and if it is still worth it? What would my "real world" profit be per day/month?

Also what is the best "currency" to mine now? I know about BTC and ETH - are those still relevant to mine?

I will put it away somewhere in the corner and let it run 24/7 (if that is a good idea).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For 65K you could buy 2x L3+ miners from Bitmain, but I would just buy BTC after the fork once the price has come down and hold, then hope for a new miner to be released sometime early next year, and try get in on the 1st batch.

So you don't think I should be one of those Antminers now then and let it run 24/7?

I personally wouldn't at the moment, and if I did I wouldn't get it from Bitmart, they get it from Bitmain anyway so no point paying extra for something you could just import yourself.

Edit: If the price dropped to $1000 on Bitmain I might consider it.

Yeah I saw Bitmain are main suppliers to them. Only issue is bitmain only allow to pay with BTC.

I will keep an eye out then for any specials and take it from there but overall is it not worth investing in one now then and letting it run 24/7? BTC is over R100k at the moment.

It would take you 262 days to pay off that miner at 65K at the current rate of earnings according to Nicehash, that's at R248 a day, if it stays stable at that price, which it definitely wont, the earnings could increase, but so far it has all been downward, I have 2 L3+ miners and the earnings have already more than halved since the day I got them, it's only been a few months, so chances are it will continue going down, unless by some miracle LTC doubles in price. The last price offered on a L3+ from Bitmain was $1750, you can work out the massive mark up they are charging.

Thanks for the reply.

@x L3plus will be R130k... I am looking at spending around R65k so could get one L3plus or is that not worth it?

Do I need to run the L3plus and s9 together for it to work or can I just run one of them? Sorry for all the questions.
Two L3 plus from Bitmain is about 60k with duty. Don't buy local and get ripped off

Bitmain take btc . Price of Btc is not relevant they want $1700 worth if btc for each unit

Yes I did see that and makes way more sense.

So if I can order 2 L3 Plus from them, then is it worth it or still not?

Your ROI would be about 3 months, but even that is still a risk, anything could happen, if you can't risk losing all your money then don't do it.

FTFY :)

So I have 2x D3 - brand new with full warranty. Anyone want to swap 1 for an L3+ or S9 to diversify? Used is fine. PM me.

Reports of electronium mining via nicehash 30% more profitable than ethereum a.t.m.

This is however causing the price of electronium to crash as nicehash sells and pays out for/in BTC

Current value about 6x ICO price ($0.06 vs. $0.01)

They could not release ICO investment coins due to an (alleged) security issue, value soared at 20x ICO price and was on 15x ICO price for a long time, would have been damn nice to sell then.

People are mining it like crazy, where I made 800 ETN in no time yesterday, the difficulty increased so that I am mining about 50 ETN in 24 hours.

I expect it to continue a downward trend and then recover long term

NH spiked earlier. Was doing about R330 for a 6 card 1070 rig mining cryptonight
My 1070 rig just chugging along mining the usual at 10.50 to 12.50 dollars . Which NH version you running that's mining cryptonight?

You’ll need the legacy version. The new versions don’t include cryptonight
