Eina. Think nicehash shows at stock without undervolting and oc. Must visit the miners on Carbonite to get latest figures

Boys thanks for all the info.
So basically buying something like the antminer - being so expensive because guys are taking the piss isnt a good idea.

So in your opinion what would you recommend for a setup?

I would greatly appreciate your input.

So looking at M/B, CPU, Ram, and cards - multiple cards like 6 for eg.

Thanks boys and if I need to import them then so be it

Wait for full AMD Vega details to be released before you make a purchase. Could see a decent hashrate on those cards, it's just a rumour at this point, but personally I would wait.

New release 1.2 of the Nicehash profitability workbook here:

I've added 6x card rigs and defaulted the graph to only the most profitable hardware - you can show the other hardware by clicking the hardware filter drop-down at the bottom left of the graph.
I've also changed the projected earnings to be based on the average income readings for the past 24 hours instead of the exact 'point in time' income reading since it fluctuates considerably every 10 minutes or so and can skew the results.

Still to do: Include costs and ROI in the output among other things.

Antminer is an ASIC based miner - and the new models are really efficient. 800W from the L3+.
On the negative, ASICS are killing small mining because they're so efficient... driving the difficulty up. On the plus side, despite the price tag, the ROI is usually less than 3 months vs 7 months + on a gpu rig. Anything can happen in 7 months...
Having said that, you have to account for the up to 3 months wait for shipping on the ASIC too so reality says minimum 4 months-5 months on normal ASIC orders.... but thereafter the gains are generally way higher than a PC rig... with the caveat that they only mine on one type of algorithm - e.g. SHA256 for Bitcoin and other SHA256 coins, Scrypt for Litecoin, Dogecoin and other Scrypt based coins... etc. etc.

Right now the Antminer D3 is the best combination of affordable and profitable but it's only shown up for sale twice in the past month...
