Why so secretive about the Pool? Unless you’re mining on a privat pool and don’t want to share it, I’ll understand. And yes, it can easily be confirmed as D3 can be pointed to it. But I’ll leave it at that. Share it or don’t

But how is it possible to get a better return on a private pool? The difficulty is shared across the network. So in theory it wouldn’t really matter on which Pool you mine, the shares would be the same according to your hashing power?

Hi all.

A while back I was asked to join a cc mining pool. Bottom line is I chicken out as I did not know enough at the time.
Their system seemed straight forward. They would use Nicehash everybody had their own bitcoin address and they used a rotation schedule to mine each others turn. Everybody could see workers which proved and witnessed by everybody that you did your time.

As most was gamers / downloaders and online 24/7 it worked well as mining happened when they where either sleeping or at work.
I was wondering if anybody here would like to give it a test run?

What i do know is you can not have big pools, my mate said that if you mine with to many people in a group they can get miff if they are last on the list and the first okes bail by the time its their turn.

They eventually mined 7 people per group and your session was seven days long.
Interestingly, they didnt care about your pc's hashpower as all is equal after the full rotation. Only item that got guys kicked if they did not put the fair amount of time in.

So, anybody want give this a hash?

I am using nicehash 1.8.13 link here --> https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMinerLegacy/releases scroll down to the 4.75Mb file, for legacy.
If you have a awesome setup checkout --> https://miner.nicehash.com/ there is a Nvidia and AMD option.

Finally got home and set up.

Config was pretty quick, and didn't take long. I then promptly proceeded to move it to the garage due to it sounding like a light aircraft ready for take off. I'll make it a little more suitable for a permanent placement, try to manage the dust and what not that goes along with it. A little concerned about the heat, but will keep an eye on it.

This means I have had to resort to using my 3G router, as I have choppy wifi in there on the best of days, so will check that out too. All in all, a happy chappie :)

How warm does the garage get during the day - any direct sun on the building?
That thing will warm up any chilly room on a cool day.
