I am busy playing crysis and the more I play the more disappointed I get....The AI in this game is shocking, I am referring mostly to battle scenes with the AI, it takes 600000000 shots to kill them, I mean it is so far from realism it is sad. What is realistic about having to shoot a guy 40 times before he decides to die?? I even hot a guy square in the head, twice, he drops to the ground, gets back up and starts shooting at me? I mean wtf? lol...It is not even a question of being a challenge, cause I enjoy that, but this is just plain dumb. I spend 30 minutes in one small area cause all I end up doing is shooting each dude 12 million times; it feels like I am using potato guns! :D

lol, i cant bring myself to play crysis warhead. Its boring after you played the first one through.

There is no way warhead will get my money, not after this load of Sh3t

lets hope you are referring to warhead, and not the first...

...as i had loads of fun on the 1st one

I am referring to the 1st! Don't get me wrong, it is the most visually satisfying game out there and is a absolute pleasure to walk around and experience.....But come on, the AI is just dumb...I have to shoot guys over and over and over and they just stand there and laugh :( :D

The hit detection is highly questionable in Crysis... Partly due to low FPS.

If you actually hit the guy in the head, he does die. If you prefer spraying, the AK with no attachments is pretty lethal. (Just like COD4... heh.) They actually improved combat a bit in Warhead.

Note that playing either Crysis with less than 4GB of RAM is a lost cause... It sits there paging constantly with 2GB. A Radeon 4870 or Geforce 200 series also helps. :p

I do get head shots where the chap dies, but loads where he springs back...And body shot's, dont even waste your time, it takes 3 clips to kill one dood.

Hmm I am running on my system just fine, runs like absolutely perfect, so I dont see the problem lying there.

Oddly enough, I still haven't found a game with better AI than Half-Life (the 1st one).
Was the 1st shooter I played where I felt that the bad guys were actually after me.
Instead of them just waiting to be hit.

+1

Nothing comes close to HL, even HL2 blew my socks off. :D

I also remember having problems with the headshots. I recall hitting soldiers in the head with that railgun-type-thingy-whatever and the only thing that happened to them is that they would lose their helmets. That gun should be able to take their whole head off and perhaps a good part of the body, not ricochet off the helmet.

And then theirs the fact that the guards in the town can spot and shoot at you even though you're several hundred meters away hiding in the forest.

Yeah I have noticed that, helmet falls off, guy stumbles a bit, gets up and shoots seven shades of poo out of me...Really gets annoying to say the least.

Not to mention I am now up against the japs that found the Suit thing, so now we have them running around with full on body armor and a massive Gatling gun. Yay, just when I thought I couldn’t get worse :D

I think my best bet is to just try run them over, using guns doesn't seem to have the desired effect.

I noticed a few times that it took a few to many bullets to put a Korean in the dirt. But for the most part I had no problems. I really enjoyed Crysis. About to play it again on high with my new card. Before getting Warhead. Looking forward to it.

Oh then Hell's Highway and Far Cry 2 yum

The AI in counstrike source on a lan is excellent - it really feels as if the other team are making plans/etc...

I don't play single player games anymore because AI is always stupid, some games they can shoot from anywhere or you will be standing right next to them and they don't see you.

Online gaming FTW

Here and there it was a little dumb, but the game was seriously satisfying, up until the end that is. I dare say Nomad would whoop Master Chief, but that's just asking for flames I guess lol. I never experienced the people moving after being shot in the head problem. Only thing was the problem with taking too many bullets to kill a lowly soldier even.

I enjoyed Warhead, but the length was too short, and the crashing issues spoilt it a little.

What difficulty setting you playing on?

As I said, don't get me wrong, it is a pretty darn amazing experience playing this game (on a good system at least)...I just find it so frustrating the way the AI are so irresponsive to most obvious, like a bullet to the head lol...Anyway I am going to push on, want to at least finish the game ;)
