Crytek are probably trying to get some extra cash in the bank to fund the next Crysis or whatever project they working on now.

I already have all the games that form part of this edition, so I won't be buying this.

One thing I can say is that more machines now should be able to play the game, especially with those ATI cards that came out and were so cost effective.

Well, what are your system specs?

Crysis can scale pretty well, depending on what resolutions and effects you have turned on. It is demanding, but it's not as bad as a lot of people have said.
