yes, owning an xbox that hasn't died yet, consider yourself very lucky indeed.
just don't use the on/off button too much and you should be fine :D

there is absolutely nothing to be learned from an xbox, all one can basically do is read game reviews for "knowledge", unless you need to be up to date on the latest steering wheel / joystick news.

bah...no thanx.

Jasper, Falcon... All these names probably mean nothing to you... :p

Also, there various ways in which you can mod your 'box. A particular forumite over at the XBOX 360 forums is an engineering genius when it comes to modding his hardware. There's a lot more to the XBOX than just "steering wheels" and "joysticks"...

Go browse (without trolling) the console forum and you'll find some valuable information. This isn't the topic for it...

any topic is a topic for anything. Search for the "TDS" in MyBB and join the group - then you're allowed to.

Any way to the origanal question, you'll be able toplay but not maxed out. Also maybe get 2 x 1gig sticks of ram.

No you cannot play Crysis on max with that PC, no chance. You will need an E8400 at least, maybe 4870, at least 3 gb ram. But you will be able to play it, just with a lot of settings turned down. But you're fooling yourself if you think that you can spend so little on a PC yet be able to play the most demanding game in the world on max.

Im got the parts today...putting it all together over the weekend..will know on monday how well its works.im going to install windows xp 32bit. A friend of mine offered me a swop for my 0CZ gold 512x2 ddr2 800mhz for his HP mushkin (1gb*2) with a cash difference of $45.do you think its worth it?

I am going to overclock my cpu to 3Ghz and using a 19inch monitor...

I was told that GPU'S are like computers and do alot of processing, thats why they dont require that much processing power and hence they so expensive...

$45 cash difference? Wowza. :D

Are you going to have a powerful enough cooler and mobo to overclock it that high? I was only able to get my e2160 to 2.2 stable.

Overclocked my E2180 to 3Ghz last night - working on voltage to get stable. Getting Hyper TX2 cooler as running 60C under load

Let me know how yours goes Zamen

p.s. what mobo are you using?

Yip! but it's the stock cooler ...was testing to see if the CPU would get there before I spend on the cooler. Wouldn't want to waste a cooler on a useless CPU.
