Hey guys

I don't know about anyone else, but I've had a few crashes with Warhead, and picked up a bug as well.

The bug is this: When dual wielding the pistols or micro smg, it's supposed to be primary fire for left weapon and secondary for right weapon. I have changed my key binding so that left mouse is primary fire, and Right Shift is secondary fire. This doesn't work, and instead the dual wielding fires if I press Right Mouse button, which I've changed to jump. It gets annoying.

As for the crashes, they have been pretty random, sometimes I can play longer than other times. The fault appears to be in the Direct3D9 Renderer, according to Windows error logs. From what I've read online, it seems Warhead is having crashing problems.

I guess I'll just keep playing, and wait for the patch and hope it fixes things up. The original Crysis never crashed on me.

Google the console command that dumps key bindings...maybe that could help you troubleshoot when the bindings go haywire. I assume it has such a command...most games do.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit tough if it crashes. The original Crysis was a bugfest too imo.

e.g.
Laser dot of pistols going AWOL.
Weapon not being rendered.
Not switching to weapon
Pistol not firing
Weapon switch resetting cool-down on tranq ammo (very useful though :D)
Bugs in the end-game scripting
Rocketlauncher not being dropped after empty
Objectives not being listed
VTOL suddenly dropping like a rock (at full health)
Units getting stuck on the borders of the map.
Main Character being rendered waist deep in floor after loading
Tank info not being reset after save game loading

Maybe I'm more sensitive to bugs...nobody else seemed to complain. But the constant bugs ruined the game for me. Admittedly, I played on an unpatched version. Farcry had much less bugs tough, so I was kinda disappointed.

u should put your pc specs when mentioning crashes .... but on a sorta similar note
i had simcity societies crashing on me at random times as well, tried patches and all sorts of random hints and tips ... but all was fixed when i went from 1 gig ram to 4 gig

So up your ram ... problem solved ;-)

@ dread

I have 4GB of ram, Corsair DDR2-800, so that isn't the issue. I have a feeling these crashes could be due to either the renderer having a memory leak, or it's XP itself running out of memory. I could play under Vista 64 bit, but I'm not up for re-installing and activating it again.

Hopefully the first patch sorts out these issues. Sucks when you are playing so well and then it just dies.

It also could be the nVidia drivers I'm running, so maybe I should roll back to the previous ones that were completely stable.
