For those interested:

The chaps over at inCrysis have given us juicy details in their latest monthly update regarding what to expect in Crysis Warhead's first patch, which will be releasing very soon:

General Fixes/tweaks
* Windows Vista: Mouse cursor should no longer have an offset in the menu.
* Windows Vista: Unrequested launches in windowed mode should occur less often now.
* Timedemo can now be started from the command line.
* Better dynamic texture support for enthusiast mode.

New Features
* Added 64-bit executables for Windows XP x64 and Windows Vista 64-bit version. In Windows XP x64 a new shortcut will be placed under the Crysis Warhead program group. In Windows Vista right-click the Crysis Warhead icon in Game Explorer and choose to run the game in 64-bit mode.

At last, good to hear. I almost thought it was another thread for Crysis Wars, but then I read properly. I can't read the link though, I'm capped.

Only problem is that I've long since finished Warhead, and am not really up for replaying it again. I'm not sure how many people are still playing the single player game, let alone the multiplayer.

Oh well, looking forward to the next Crysis game whenver it comes out. I'm a big Crysis fan!

warhead sucked ass. too short, sudden ending.

A bit long overdue for the patch to arrive now isn't it?

I have to agree with both statements here. The game was hyped like the second coming with the supposed graphics overhaul, but in the end the game actually looked a little worse than Crysis. Not to mention the fact that I had quite a few random crashes witht the game.

I guess this will be the first and only patch for the game, I think they'll focus more on the Wars side of things.

I've had Warhead a while now and I'm only playing it now (started properly yesterday)

I must say - I'm 'forcing' myself to actually play it... it's boring!

It's not all that bad, there are some fun parts, and I admit I like Sykes' British humour. However, in total the game just feels too short and unsatisfying compared to Crysis.

Here's hoping the true sequel will come out soon.

I'm not even a gamer (ask my completely insane gamaholic flat mate) and I know that it's wayyyy too long time period to release a patch now. Shocking to be honest :p

also, the stories don't match up.

Actually they do, with maybe minor issues here and there. Probably the most major thing is Sykes' friend, O' Neil, but apart from that everything matched up as far as I could tell. It does however feel shorter than the part Nomad had from when he and Sykes split up.

but when you played nomad - you saw psyco all the time, including the ending. when you play psyco, you never even see nomad - as if he is on a completely different island or something...
