I am failry certain you won't go back once you get started :P you need patch 1.5 which is about 500mb, but if you don't have the bandwidth i have a few guys in durbs that could "hook" you up.

Yes Yes, been jamming crysis for about 2-3 years now, and still not getting bored with it, think i have logged 20,000 minutes of it well thats only what ive logged on Xfire but played much much more i think haha :) and i challenge any CoD Player to come join us :)
 
I would be interested in joining you guys. I never installed Crysis Wars, and I could never play the original Crysis on any servers due to high ping. I'll see if I can install this later on and perhaps I can join in as well.

I wonder if WebAfrica will support this game in WAGE, as I love the fact that you don't use cap while gaming with WAGE.
 
hey man, thats great. Give either corne or myself a shout if you need any help getting started. there is a link to the patch in this thread if you need it or if you having bandwidth issues let us know and we will try get the patch to you some other way.

As far as i know WAGE is only for the wab africa hosted games, but you would have to double check.
 
Where are u guys ? I'm locked and loaded, was on the server about 15 minutes ago, but it was only me.
 
hahaha, soz man unlucky. Yeah sometimes the servers get fairly quiet on weekends. This weekend was one of those weekends. we usually have quite a few on weekdays after 20:00 and friday nights after 22:00.
 
I finally got around to installing Crysis Wars earlier on, but then I noticed I had to download that patch. Thankfully I had local cap to use, but it tool 4 hours on the 384k line lol. Well, now I am all set up, I should be able to game tomorrow or on the weekend. Looking forward to it.
 
Yeah that last patch was massive. There are quite a few of us in CT so we can always make a plan to get you a patch if you have a cap problem. I'll mention to the guys that you are keen to play this weekend.

Thank you kindly for that offer :) Luckily I had plenty of local cap so I got the patch, the problem was just waiting for it lol. 384k line sucks. I'm ready to go this weekend, hope to see you guys sometime soon.
 
Hmm, was quite the eye opener last night, the gameplay is very different to what I expected, but was fun. Now that I've learnt the basics, it will be more fun in the future. Now to get a headset to communicate properly, and find some time to get some practice in to compete... Thanks all, was great fun.
 
Cool. Were you playing as Craig? It is quite different and can be a bit intimidating at first because most of the guys have been playing Wars for several years now. You just have to get used to the maps and the gameplay - especially the PS games, which is what Crysis is really about. Please ask any of the guys if you have questions in-game, or just post them here. There are also loads of tips and tricks which they will gladly share with you.

Yep, that was me playing :) You are right, it is indeed quite different, but by the end of the night I felt I was catching up and understanding the themes quite well. Thanks again, will see you guys soon!

Hey guys, do you still play online?

I just started playing Crysis this week and am loving it. Im keen to give it a go online and most likely get my ass handed to me. I've got Crysis, warhead and wars but have just started playing this week.

This game sounds like fun, I'm a huge crisis fan and would be a nice change from MW2. How many people can play on a map?
 
Upto 32 players on a map running a stock server, however with a custom server it can be increased quite a bit.
