Crysis

I am now flying a plane, hopefully I am not near the end already! I am enjoying this soooo much, and I am only on medium settings. I can only imagine what it must look like on very high.
 
I did put my settings to high once, knowing that I won't be able to play it like that, but I just had to see what the environment was like... well, after about 2 minutes it did load the stage, and I could at least look around, but I think if I had to try anything more than that, my pc would have burned out!
 
I'm now at what seems to be the last stages of Crysis ... having to destroy the alien ship that rose from the sea.

I'm a bit disappointed with what Crysis becomes in the latter parts. To me it feels as if the game is falling apart towards the end. I absolutely hated the stage where I had to fly the VTOL and shoot aliens. It was a very poor rendition of a flight simulator ... and as it wasn't really intended as such I think the developers should have steered clear of it. For me the game "broke" when I had to drift through the alien mountain trying to find a way out ... it was really boring. After this the game becomes an alien shoot fest and little else. But this is my take on it and others are welcome to disagree.

Yeah the alien part in the beggining wasn't so great. But it really picks up again ;)

I've added the very high option and everything looks great. I've lost 10 fps but things amazingly seem smoother. Very odd. Still great fun :)

That plane bit sucked soooo much, but the game is awesome, I'm loving every second of it (except that horrible plane bit and whenever Prophet complained that his suit was running out of power).

Medium looks pretty awesome, pity I cant afford very high..
 
ever groped an alien?

Theres nothing I love more than throwing people into buildings or off cliffs, but I've noticed something odd, in the mountain tunnels, when your floating about, sometimes when the aliens are really close to you the "pickup object/grap person" popup shows on the screen, has anyone ever done that?

I usually fire like a madman and cant press F in time...

I once tried drowning a NK. Odd that NK die instantly after going under water :D

Yeah I grab Aliens. In the 'mother ship' I had no ammo so I was stalking those things then grabbing them and beating the grap out of them. Poor things LOL
 
I finished it last night, the last bit is kinda crappy and annoying:
game loads, exosuit freezes me, picks me up throws me at something, game loads, I try something different, exosuit picks me up throws me at something, I die, game loads, I do significant damage to the exo suit flying aliens attack and kill me because I was relaoding that piece of crap chaingun, game loads, I fire at the aliens and exosuit but the fusker freezes me again and the aliens fire at me I break into tiny shards, I press alt+f4.

at one point I died so many times that the game suggested I lower the difficulty level..
 
Ok so anyone actually played the game online? Is it good? Is there a reasonably large community playing? Can you pretty much do everything in multiplayer as in the single player version, e.g. flying, driving tanks, etc?

I'm thinking of getting the game.
