If it is the ticket I think it is then you were helped out by the least qualified of our support desk staff and the second least qualified took hold thereafter ;). If it is the matter I've got in mind then I've got the course of support I took was to be awaiting feedback from Telkom on migration before tackling the congestion issue and it is pinned to me.

In other words blame Paul. Always. :p

Hi snail,

Your account is showing degraded speeds on all ISPs, which indicates some sort of line issue. This is something that is best suited for our technical support team to deal with than the forum as we can't run any tests or assist from within here right now.

As for nntp, there is a known issue which is currently being worked on at the moment and should be resolved in the next few hours.

Thanks for the nntp update, I saw the issue just now on the previous page.

I feel pretty k@k now - due to sinus or flu or who knows what.

Calling it the night. I'll sort it out in the morning after a good night rest..

i'm getting line speed(4mb) on my downloads most of the time(have had abit of trouble certain parts of the day with <100kBps speeds but at least 80% of the time over 400kBps

not using p2p or nntp i'm download off my cloud backup drive(basically http.not south african hosted m9nd you so it is int.)

Righto, so I just hopped on to Wildstar (my poison of choice for who knows how long from this point forward) and the latency is super high. Yes, international link issues, etc but I would just like to post it here.

When that was taken, it was when latency was hovering around 400 to 500ms. Don't stress too much though, I would not have played tonight due to the fact that my graphics card went "poof". So hopefully, by the time that is sorted, you guys will be sorted as well. And hopefully that IP address is on a priority hotlist or something

Now imagine that without the international issue. ;)

We're as edgy and impatient to have this resolved as possible. We'll keep you updated.

Can't wait to test the waters already joined and was supposed to be online on the 1july but woke up last week friday to a dead telephone.Checked my line to the house was fine and the saw these f....ers stole the cables that runs on the poles outside the house now who does that.I thought they only stole the underground cable and telkom has not come to check yet even thou i logged the fault last week friday already.

oh gawd i wouldn't log a fault for that i would go into a telkom shop and/or phone them AND contact telkomZA

Don't forget to demand as refund for the days you had no line as they do refund if you can show that line wasn't connected....

Fo realz? I know with "ISP THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED" my Gamer's King was getting 200 to 220ms most of the time on WS. I will be very VERY happy with 160ms. I did not even know that was possible!

Can't wait. I am patient, to a point. My graphics card has me a bit bummed out, so I cannot even entertain myself on single player stuff. Ah well, series night it is then xD

You'll also find that even through the international issues, we've kept certain services working, like certain legitimate international streaming sites, for example. We are trying to give you the best connection, even with the international issue, which is now at the hands of customs to get delivered as soon as possible so that all other services can come online properly. At which point you will have a superb experience on the international link.

I hope you guys can understand, we are at the liberty of others to make this happen now, and we're trying to be as open and forthcoming as possible. Last month we also sacrificed a lot to ensure that we could migrate everyone to Internet Solutions as a temporary measure.

My wife says thank you for the Netflix priority :). Also, I want to say thank you for the extra mile you guys went to in getting us the IS account's. I don't think I used it to its full potential but it was great to have.

As long as streaming stays a priority until the issue is resolved I will be a patient customer :). All the best in riding out the negative (read constructive) feedback, it will make you guys a better ISP in the long run. :)

That hop is to the UK but theoretically that sort of ping to a gaming server isn't likely unless they place their server inside our peering partner's DC. It still has to go through a few hops after it lands in London to get to the final destination.

160ms isn't really realistic as the actual distance traveled is quite enormous :/ and no mater how good the isp their data can't travel faster than the speed of light ^^

you can get to like 190ms with a tunneling service though :/

So I now know who the news server provider is. Won't mention anything, but one thing I know is, I have not been able to get better completion from any other provider. We are really getting a great deal here if the trial becomes a full sub.

Yepo, props to Crystalweb. Torrents are blazing fast and youtube vids are still streaming perfectly fine. Well done. :)

Early feedback first evening, Northern Suburbs Cape Town. So far I have no complaints, service is great. I have not played games as you know it is Tuesday (other priorities) but my son was watching Netflix with no issues and my wife says youtube is good, maybe half a second buffering and that is it.

Wish I could ask you how many customers you have now, but I know for sure that would be a big no no. Otherwise things are looking gooood.

It's in the hundreds. Not quite thousands yet. ;)

Your local LAN doesn't look too healthy either.

That happens very rarely. For example, i just did a test tracert to google and voila:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1

That's from that Tenda router that I got from a certain CEO for free, who went to great lengths to make it look like my latencies to GW2 stemmed from my Netgear DGN2200. Which wasn't the case. As I told him.

Ah well, free router is free. And it turns out I needed to use an Access Point in my flat due to walls, so I just bridged the 2.
