Yeah, I am glad that they are reconsidering that "openweb rule".

Shaping speeds across all protocols is crazy. And screw those people that tunnel - you are only making it worse for everyone because of your selfish wants. Accept that P2P is shaped. If you want to download full speed on that, go get business uncapped from another ISP. Or wait for CW to launch such a product.

how many people even do that anyways...........feel like that being a problem is slightly exaggerated.....or perhaps they see 8 current connections on same file (every download accelerator/manager in the world)....must be tunneling.../shape
as i highly doubt they have people abusing tunneling already pre launch(especially considering the shaping is new......)

It's not too bad for me at the moment:

Imgur is still slow as hell. Struggling to do over 2mbps on a 10mbps line. Saw it spiking to 5mbps but for fractions of seconds.

From KZN and things are pretty dire :(. Trying to download a app update via iTunes and it is hell and gone slow, tried listening to iTunes Radio and that kept on buffering :/. Trying to catch up on news via feedly only to have the site get stuck in a infinite loop, close site and reload page. Thankfully I am not home the whole weekend because if I had this during the weekend I would not be happy. I won't bother support since you have stated you are going to re-look the shaper instead I will get some shut eye.

/tries to ignore the "Open"Web feeling...

Guys the network is not yet ready... Patience....

That is on a 10Mbps account, was working great until today.
exactly that sinbad their fix(CW said it was fixed for everyone except gauteng) this morning either A)broke my account or B)(livechat says they didn't)shaped me to hell or C)(livechat)International is still broken

I agree... too many promises, not enough action. Things should be getting better, but instead they seem to be getting worse...

i kinda understand what is happening though, just hope they don't throw around the word "fixed" until its been tested for a few hours next time :P
gets people abit grumpy when fix slows down interwebz :P(and hasnt fixed anything)

I am in Cape Town.

Seeing as I wouldn't be able to game online tonight, I figured I may as well download.
NOPE.JPEG
Currently NNTP is dead with this error: Failed login for server news.crystalweb.co.za:119

Edit: Never mind, it's back.

Next thing I know, I won't even be able to browse...

I guess I have to go sleep early tonight, can hardly even browse..

Why not grab a free GB or 2 from the other ISP's like Axxess or Afrihost till CW are back online? Sleep is for the weak :D

Without going through all the pages, is there a published pricing structure, and how are the uncapped accounts for streaming with this ISP?

For sure. I'm a very patient person and completely understand where they coming from as I'm in IT myself, but the WORST mistake you can make is to say something is "fixed" and then it's worse than before, really gets people upset quickly.

@CW: Really really hope you guys come right with a proper solution tomorrow, otherwise I will unfortunately have to bail to another ISP until things are resolved properly which I'm really hoping doesn't come to this. :-(
